Once again I find myself apologizing. I have had terrible tendonitis and and am just "'getting over it""''. So I can't write to much but just want everyone to know I am out there and I am watching. Be well.

Well, please get well for your sake! That's terribly painful and I hope you're over it quickly. We'll be here. We're not going anywhere. I haven't been too active on here myself. I streamlined the format so that guests coming in can more quickly see and get to what we do best .... your OGH and the other history threads. I'm experimenting with a couple of ideas that I haven't formally launched. Take a look at these in your spare time. One utilizes the Blog format instead of proboards. To me there seems to be a number of advantages .... as well as disadvantages, of course. I really liked using the Blog method for Lunarticks, with it's ability to embed Youtube better and other stuff. Unfortunately, Lunarticks had only three of us using it and I frankly didn't want to continue to expend energy on it when I could do be doing other things. Anyone could take it over, however. Here is one of the experiments. I've placed a couple of my stories on it, as well as new material from Delores and Harold, who appreciate the new ability to include photos, something I couldn't really do on the MoreStories website because of my limited webspace: morestoriesplace.blogspot.comFor the fun of it, I created a proboards forum that would be dedicated to history, like this: morehistory.proboards.comAnd don't forget we created a blogspot blog specifically for On Genesee Hill: ongeneseehill.blogspot.com/Anyway, get better and please take care of yourself. Dave

Thank you Dave. I am somewhat better, but it will take time. I am doing therapy. I just bought a Williams Allegra digital piano and I think it was poor hand and wrist positioning that did it. Anyhow, I am learning some simple etudes for C major. I know you have a digital piano. Tell me, on the treble staff, are you satisfied with the sounds of the chords from C1 down? Middle C down to A/B is good, but C1 sounds tinny to my ear. I play on a Yamaha at the lab and of course it is the difference between a Caddilac and a Honda, but overall, I am satisfied with the piano. I went to the blog spot. Basically I had forgotten about it. I am sorry. I think I may want to get started on it. How do I get there from here? Hope all is well in S. Carolina. yesterday was John's birthday. Also, haven't heard from Clipper in months. Thanks again and be well.

I went to the More History site and I love it. Can't wait to start working there. A few more therapy sessions and I should be ready. Thanks again, Dave.

Fiona, my digital keyboard is a Yamaha and I love it. It wasn't that expensive, I got it on sale from Amazon for two something. It's the DGX230. I'm not sure how your keyboard works, but on a yamaha you can play it as a regular piano or add percussion and chords by fingering them with the left hand as triads similar to how you would ordinarily play a left hand chord, even inverted in most cases. I have played a Korg expensive piano and the key action is indeed wonderful, but too piano-like, of all things! I've gotten quite used to the easy touch of the digitals and although my strength has evened out across all my fingers as I've continued to play, overall they've lost strength for playing real keys! If you meant, "How do I get from the here to the MoreStoriesPlace blog," just go back to the home page here and click on the graphic for the MoreStoriesPlace that's shown in the More Stories board. Here: Or type in the name on your url line morestoriesplace.blogspot.com

Oh, Blogger will send you an invitation when I enter your email address in the invitee list. I just inserted the last address I have for you. If you don't have an invitation in your email box, I don't have your latest address. If that's the case, you can send it to me at: dave@windsweptpress.com
That goes for anyone who would like to post here. And if you're shy, you can send me the piece and I'll put it up for you. I don't edit, however. It goes up as you send it. Send straight text, unformatted if possible. No ALL CAPS, please.

OK Dave. You know how I hate this kind of stuff. I signed up as author and created a profile page, but the page gave me no option as to how to get into the blog and begin posting.

The MoreHistory FORUM (morehistory.proboards.com) is not open yet. It's an experiment and before we begin using it, we need to talk about how it gets organized, what to do about the other sites we have, etc. I can't support them all.
The MoreStoriesPlace BLOG is open for business and you can just post stories on it after logging in.
I like working with the BLOG format, but I don't think it is an adequate vehicle for lots of photos, graphics and multiple threads. A forum makes a better home for that. We don't get much activity on this forum in the area of writing, although that was the original intent. That's why I'm moving the Stories function to the MorstoriesPlace BLOG.
Moving all the history stuff from here to a MoreHistory Forum may be a huge task. It would seem easier to simply re-structure and rename this forum and use it just for the history stuff.

OGH blogspot is indeed open and you already obtained privileges to post there. But you just asked about the "history forum" and I assumed you meant the MoreHistory Proboards forum, which isn't complete yet and is an experiment. Specifically, which blog or forum do you want to post in? Check these out and let me know. 1. This one you're looking at, the More Stories Forum 2. The More Stories Place Blog at morestoriesplace.blogspot.com3. The OnGeneseeHill Blog at ongeneseehill.blogspot.com

OK. I went to OGH bs. (for blog spot of course) and I poked around and I think I have it figured out. I'll have to think about where and how to start. I have so much info it boggles my mind. People can't post there can they? I hope not. What a mess that would be. I think I'll start by looking over what we have, here and on Clipper's. Right now I'm in the middle of planning an art show and it's just nutsy, but I am sure I can manage once a week. What else specifically do I need to know? Let's talk first about the front page... I want to take down that part of the story, but keep the picture, to begin.
