Thanks. I remember reading that. Barb Zizeo read the blog today and said she liked it. The pin and the watch... hmmmm... makes me think...

Dave: Can you turn the pic of Latcher that I posted? I tried to turn it on my desktop and thought it was OK. Then, I couldn't do it. I am poking my way through this blog. Forgive me.

Fiona, Sure, and I'll try to touch it up a bit. Do you want the text in the post so that everyone sees it? They may not look for it in the comments where you have it. I'll go ahead and move it and if that's not what you want, let me know and I'll move it back.

Looks excellent, Dave. Please go ahead and post the reply from Blandina Miller to Mary B. below the "Letter to Grandmother." I am going to advance the story line one day and bring in Blandina Dudley Miller, she and Latcher will have lunch in the Cafe. Then he will take her on a tour and we will see the building through her eyes. I have an idea that I can bring in the Wood's right away in the story line: That is why I want the reply put up. Since the letters are dated January, I can have the Wood's travel from Morristown to Utica on there way to Cailfornia and visit the building. Also, Julia Conkling didn't pass until Oct 1893, so I can also do something with that. It's just cooking. Throw some ideas at me will ya, why don't cha?

Mabye Julia will give the " Mary " pin to her niece, you know the one that was found in the ruins.

OK, I inserted Blandina's response into the same post so it wouldn't get separated from Mary's letter. Nice idea about the pin.

Hi. I would like to post some pics of the inside of Genesee Flats as it may have looked, as close to my descrption as I can get. I would like them on the right side of the page, under the Collingwood fire video, and next to the blog on the 'first day open". Is this possible? I have to search for and assemble them, so we have time. Shall I just go ahead and post them and you can move them, or shall I send them to you? What is easiest? I am working through today, so we can write back and forth.

Fiona, probably best to send them to me with pretty specific instructions where you want them and we can go from there. Please be as specific as you can. E.g., I don't know what you mean by "the blog on the 'first day open.'
I see a stained glass photo with a caption beneath it. Do you want that moved? To where, specifically? Thanks, Dave

OK. It's just pics, but I want them inserted into the text if that's OK. I like the picture of the stained glass window, but it's out of context the way it is. Can you insert the into the text in which Latcher tours the people through the building? I'll send the pics tomorrow in the AM.

Thanks dave. it looks good. I may have one or two more for you, then I will be able to do the inserts. I decided to go for the visuals after the fact. Now, for the colored help that worked in the cafe, we need to make up some kind of photos, like you did for Mary B in the beginning, so we can choose from among them for our characters. Also, I've been searching for a good image of wht the cafe may have looked like. Very important, but no luck. Think you can find something?
