Dave: I am having a problem enlarging an image on the bottom of page 1: Howard Ave from Rutger. I posted 3 there. Can you pick the best one, enlarge and repost it, while deleting the other two? Thanks. Fiona.

Hi Fiona. I'm in Canada again, but will try to get to it next week. Just checked in from ... believe it or not ... the cellar where the PC is located in the monastery. Guess I got my Brother Jesse idea here. Actually, this is a finished basement, unlike Jesse's domain.

Just took a quick look ... they don't have any graphics software on this PC, so I'll do it when I get home next week. Dave

Fiona, It looks as though you fixed the problem. The post cards of Rutger and Howard at the bottom of page 1 of the main Streets thread now seem full size. Dave

I just do not understand how that happened, unless the program is slow to load the image. As you can see they were very small when I posted them. Must be the internet God's at work. Thanks anyway. I am making slow headway on the project with everything else I have to do. I should get back to it this weekend. have a rockin' good time in Canada, Bro.'

OK Dave. I lost the picture of Howard Ave... some where. I dicked around with it and now I can't reload it. Anyhow, I have the cards in order, so you can start loading in the maps. After you are done with that, I can work on the Rutger Park luncheon section, then the story line. Any ideas, ect are greatly appreciated. I am no longer working at Wal Greens. So I have more time to work on this and i think my next chapter will be "Parks of Old Utica." I have all these great views of Proctor, Summitt park, ect. Keep in touch.

Fiona: Similar to the map I constructed of Oneida Square from the 1883 map, I can make a map of Steuben Park next. Where in the narrative would you like it to go?

Put in in the beginning of reply 12, "The first fountain" and I'll just work around it. Thanks. How was Canada?

Canada was very nice, as usual. The first half of the week was quite rainy, but then it turned nice ... perfect May weather and a bit warm. I sat out on the veranda most evenings after compline, listening to the roar of Niagara, whether the river or the falls it was tough to tell. Experienced hands say it depends upon the direction of the wind. Here's a Bing: By the way, I discovered this ad in the 11/8/1911 Utica Herald Dispatch. Note the show is said to be presented in "Dramascope!" Don't know if that would be stills or moving film in that year. But what a nice name for you to use some time. Fiona presents DRAMASCOPE!

Looks good. I have not had the time, the physical time to work on the tour. I am up to my neck in alligators here. I am on the planning committie for seymour - Conkling days event ( my idea) to be held here in Sept. I am having an art show this Saturday. The last 3 weekends were spent at an art camp - retreat - my daughter is about to have a baby. It is almost too much. On the 11th of July I am having a walking tour - I am the tour guide - for a program named Genesee Hill - where we start at the Olbiston and walk a few blocks south and I will be talking about the homes and who lived there and what they did. So, some stuff will have to wait. Sorry. Hope you are well. I love Niagara Falls. Went there often as a kid, a teen, and an adult, but have not been there now in some 25 years. Be well and I will be logging in to check out your new stuff.

OK. Hi everyone. I just looked at the second part of the tour of Streets of Old Utica and I like most of it, but I see a lot of ways it can be improved, and some mistakes I made also. I am going to go through and start organizing, cleaning it up, adding some new stuff, deleting some other stuff and hope to come out the other end alive. Any ideas or stuff that you think is missing or that you want to know about or see, as long as it is in the parameters of the story line, I will try and do it for you. Thanks .Fiona
