Hey! I just got a phone call from Cassandra Harris Lockwood, editor of a small local newspaper here in town called the Phoenix. She was doing research on Post Street and on the web came across "Post Street Blues". Long story short, she and I talked for quite a while. She said that our comp-ilation of information was the best she had seen and she wanted permission to run some of the articals - exerts in the Phoenix, on a month to month basis. I told her yes providing she cites all of our research as well as our names and web site. You can access te Phoenix on line. The articals are currently in preperation. I will keep everyone updated on the status of the articals. Thanks and a good day to all.

That's great, Fiona. And I hope they feature the MoreStories! Proboards Forum (this one right here!) that features a number of history themes, including your Streets of Old Utica, the Genesee Flats story (On Genesee Hill) and other threads.

Absolutely you and Jon. His research and your presentations are extremely valuable and without them we wouldn't have a history board.

I don't know if you are aware of this but Strikeslip is a regular contributor to the Phoenix. I did not know that, but it is certainly a recommendation! I haven't been to the Phoenix site in quite a while but will bookmark it and check it often. Thanks.

Fiona, by the way, do you have an email address for the Phoenix? Their "contact us" doesn't seem to work. One of their heads mentions a fiction piece called "The Swan Heist." I wanted to read it but can't find it on their web pages. I also wanted to point them to the front page at www.windsweptpress.comThanks.
