hello. I want to add this info to the trove about John. I went to the Yale Library and the reserch assistants helped me to find all they could. This took about 10 minutes! I realize this is taking a long time, but if we each took a piece of this info and reserched it, John would literally live again. They may also have pictures of him. I could not stay very long, but that is my next tour. I have the info on who to contact.
First: the home adresses:

From the Yale law Biographical record:
John Brandegee Wood was born in Morristown, NJ on June 25th,1844. he prepped at Morris Academy. He was a member of Linonia, Delta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Phi and Alpha Delta Phi, and also of Glyuna. Taking an oration appointment at Junior exhibition, and at Commencement, standing 7th there, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He roomed at 31 Crown Street. From October 1866 to May 1868, he attended Colombia College Law School, from which he graduated in the spring with the degree of LLB. In November of 1869 he entered a law office in NYC where he continued until March of 1872. he then entered a law office in Morristown, where he was admitted to the bar in June 1874. Is now a member of the law firm Pitney and Youngblood. He married Sarah Miller Aug 20th, 1874 at Utica NY. His health has not been vigerous and his eyes have been troublesome at times.
and then this, no date, I suspect sometime after the fire:
Since 1891 he has made his home at Riverside, Calif,, where he has purchased an orange grove. he devotes his time to the "cultivation of oranges, ghosts and mathmatics". he has also contributed many articals to various journals on the subjects of, astronomy, philosophy, psychic reserch, polital, geological and literary subjects. During a visit east and while at Utica NY, his wife and only daughter were burned to death in the genesee Apartment House fire of 3/3/1896.
