This is the Central Fire Station on Elizabeth Street across from the County Court House. It is now a law library. Post Street backs up behind this building. I believe this was built around 1912.

This is a beautiful image and some of the beginnings of Post Street can be seen in the background.

Nice crisp image. I'd guess it was retouched while at the same time colorized, if that was the word they used. Mrs. Dave and I couldn't afford color photos when we were married in '65. (I didn't think we could afford photos, but that's another story.) So we had them done in B&W, but a nice older lady known to my mother-in-law took one large print each of the bridal photo and the engagement photo of the two of us and colorized it using a brush and some kind of wash like a water color. She had done it for years, professionally I guess. It turned out to be quite natural looking, if you allowed that my cheeks were a little red. Maybe they were back then. As in, "Here's Dave, embarrassed he didn't pay for the color photography."

The same thing was done to my HS graduation photo. I wonder if my mom still has it?
