A sub thread in one of the xkcd forums today brought up the difference between "non-sentient" and "non-sapient." I've never considered that before.

I've had 3/4 of a mug of coffee and I still feel both.

It's been so long since I used sapient, I had to look up it's meaning as differentiated from sentient. While learning it means the exercise of judgement, I also found it is the name of a hip-hop artist from Oregon. Now I'll have to look up the difference between hip-hop and rap. Maybe some day.
