I think that photo has to be from 1964 or later. A wig from the 1950's could be a flat top with fenders.

Oh! You're right! I remember when they came to the states in '64. I wasn't a fan, but the entire island of Manhattan where I worked at the time was enthralled with them.
The PPS presentation is labeled Photos 1950-60, but it contains photos from both decades.
