While reading an article tonight on President Obama's upcoming visit to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in which he hopes to thaw icy relations with business leaders, that article states: "Previewing his Chamber remarks in his Saturday radio address, Obama said he will tell company executives that they have an "obligation" to "hire our workers, and pay decent wages, and invest in the future of this nation."" www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2011/02/05/AR2011020503452.html.... which brings up an interesting topic. Do you believe business has an "obligation to hire our workers, pay decent wages and invest in the future of our naton"? Or is private enterprise immune from such expectations on the part of a country's citizens?
