I finally figured out why I couldn't get Chrome or Safari to work well on Proboards. When I went back to a thread I had read before in a given browser session, I would get an error with the message stating I had tried to go to an "undefined" page. Firefox worked fine, but as time went on and the browser got slower and slower (what a shame! and with such terrific function!) I switched to Chrome (much faster!).
Turns out the problem is not with Proboards, but with a routine I installed in the global footer that provides a really neat function, Jump To Last Post. This script sends you to the the last post you read when you come back to a thread. Without it, when you click on a thread, you land on page 1, first post and you have to manually click ahead to the last post.
Last Post is quite a convenience and I'd consider it a necessity on a busy board, but here on More Stories ... at least lately ... our threads seldom exceed a page.
So we'll try getting along without it for a while. Post your sentiments and if the removal turns out to be a problem for many, I can easily restore it.

PS: According Google Analytics data for my sites, Chrome, Safari and Netscape are still very minor players in the browser game, together accounting for only 5% of users. Opera doesn't even show up these days. And Firefox numbers are dropping like dead flies. IExplorer is gaining rapidly. I surmise that Firefox users are returning to IExplorer. Not me, however. Each time I'm forced to use IEx (with my bank and my medical insurance company) I feel whipped around by Microsoft. I must have refused to "take the tour" on bringing up the browser about 100 times before it let me alone! And it wouldn't accept my typing an initial url I wanted to visit, instead forcing me to BING!
