the site looks great. I like the slimmed down version.

Thanks, Fiona. I figured not much of the old site was being used, so I eliminated much of it. Did that once before and wound up restoring a couple of boards. Suppose I could do that again. Also, no one was using the writing forum board (Offerings), so I figured the More Stories! website might as well take up the slack.
What we seem to have left is just History and OGH and that's fine for now.

Well, originally I thought that if we offered a potpourri of choices, we'd get more members, some of whom might post on a variety of topics, allowing the forum to take its final shape by the direction set by members. Didn't happen. You'll notice too I adjusted the membership, deleting mostly those who never posted.
I tried posting stories and news items for discussion, but I no longer have the time for that.

I understand completly about the time factor. I think that the members we do have have given the forum it's "final" albeit temporary shape. I say this because the internet to me is like a crowd in flux, ideas always coming in, going out... and sometimes, Dave, as you know, too many choices is not a good thing; for a project, an idea or concept to be sucessful, the focus has to be narrowed down and considerably so. I am only grateful that this forum is here, giving me a chance to enlarge upon my own work. What you have done is good and when the time is right, that will morph into something new again. That's the beauty of it.

The only thing I miss is the list of blogs to link to. I didn't use it often, but it was a wide variety of subjects covered on them. Is there a way for you to simply email me the list or is it simply gone?
I still enjoy the forum Dave. I just have been busy caring for kathy, and now for the past two weeks I have been down and out with a pinched nerve in my back. I can't sit in this desk chair for very long at a time. I see the doc tomorrow for the results of my MRI and to discuss the options.

Uh ... I'm not sure I remember it. I do remember there was a thread containing some "finds." I think I called it the Reading Room, similar to the page on my website. What you remember may have been in version no. 1 of three or four versions we've had so far. But I don't remember an actual list, not like on Strikeslip's Faultlines.
Not blaming you ... I know you've had your share of cares lately ... but I never had any input on very much of what I set up, so I didn't save any of it.

Just a further thought. Anyone can post any topic under general. If it appears we have something deserving of a separate or new board, let me know and I'll move the posts to a new board.
