Came across the followin website this morning. The photographer is no Shadowman, but he or she did a credible job of photo-documenting many parts of the city, from downtown up Genesee St. and over to Cornhill. Here: forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=155972To someone like myself who hasn't walked around downtown Utica in almost half a century, these photos seem eerie, because one can see between buildings over into the next block and beyond. That's only because so many buildings have been torn down over the years since I spent any time there. Does the current wealthy class in Utica consist of building demolition people?

Very nice find you stumbled across Dave. Even though I've lived here in Utica all my life I would have to admit there are some of the pictures that I can't identify their location. I believe it would have been a nice touch to have posted the locations along with each picture.
The shot that shows a large boarded up house with the second floor window missing on Arthur Street is typical for much of th houses in Cornhill.

That's Ok. I like the site, but I can't get the photos to load. Anyway, that's just the way it is.

Fiona, if you want I can send them to you. They're copyrighted, so I didn't post them, but I did copy them. Dave
