John's father was Theodore Talbot Wood. His mother was Mary Jane Brandegee. So Dave, where do we go next with this? Do you want me to put up the pictures of the skin wallets, ect? They're's not that much more out there that I can find.

Here it is spelled Brandegee in an official genealogy. www.windsweptpress.com/images/Brandegee spelling.jpg[/img] And I do remember you saying some of the family at John's birth came originally from New England. Googling finds a corner of the Brandegee estate in Jamaica Plain, MA today in use as county dog pound. "Police dogs still train there, sniffing out suspects in exchange for tennis balls and treats, as they have since the Brandegee family donated the first K-9 unit dogs 45 years ago." www.jphs.org/contact-us/By the way, an Internet source has this info on John Brandegee Wood: Birthdate: June 25, 1844 Birthplace: New Jersey, United States Death: Died February 10, 1936 in Los Angeles, California, United States Occupation: Lawyer (1870 & 1880 U.S. Census) / Orchardist (1900 U.S. Census) / Fruit Farmer (1910 U.S. Census) Is d. '36 correct?

Yes. That is correct for date of death. Good job. The Fincke family? Rings a bell somehow. So, that would be his sister, Mary, who I mention in OGH. Are we through with this section? I have some info on Yale - photos I took - and some info on Riverside, Calif. We should keep the info in "folders" so to speak. Shall I post the rest on the murder?
